Every girl wants a fairytale, and I feel so lucky when I get to see one up close! How about coming to beautiful Ireland for the first time in your life to have an amazing day at a real castle and to start a new life together with the love of your life? Sounds pretty fairytale to me! Their Cabra Castle wedding was just amazing, and I can’t thank them enough for letting me share such a beautiful day with them.
Karie and John met in the faraway exotic Philippines while John was exploring beautiful Asia, and shortly after they realised that they never wanted to be apart again. I mean, when you meet such a perfect gorgeous girl why would you even wait? That was John’s very logical thinking, so he popped the question, and Karie happily said yes!
It’s not easy to organize a wedding from abroad – and that’s an understatement! Trust me, I’ve done it myself. The maid of honour and John’s lovely sister Priscilla was on top of everything and created a truly magical Cabra Castle wedding for the gorgeous couple. It was amazing to see them surrounded by so much love from family and friends. It was also one of the largest bridal parties I’ve photographed since Karie had 6 bridesmaids coming over from overseas!
One of the things that really struck me was the amount of detail the guys included in their big day: from personalized dress hangers named after the bride and each bridesmaid, to custom-made beer bottles and a photo wall in Cabra Castle. We had an amazing portrait session – John and Karie are the most natural models, and she has an adorable giggle! I’m especially grateful that they supported my idea of going outside again after dinner for an epic evening sky. The perfect end to the perfect day!
