“I don’t want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need…”

‘Tis was a few days after Christmas, in a small church in the beautiful village of Fanore, Co. Clare. The church was very familiar to Hannah – having grown up in Fanore, she’d been there a good few times with her family. But this time it wasn’t just her family around her. This time she was surrounded by all her friends, family and neighbours.

As a little girl, she’d walk down the church aisle holding her Daddy’s hand. This time she wasn’t a little girl anymore but holding his hand felt even more important. Because this time there was a very special person waiting for her at the top of the aisle.

5 years ago Hannah had left her darling Clare to settle in Port Laoise. She’d always dreamed of working with children, and she was delighted to get a job as a primary school teacher there. She didn’t really have any friends in Laoise, and joining Tinder seemed like a good way forward. Little did she know that it would only be a short time before she swiped right to a picture of John – and she’d never go back to Tinder again!

      Back to Clare

5 years can feel like no time at all, or change your life forever. During one of their trips back to Clare John took Hannah to her favourite Fanore beach to go down on one knee and ask her to spend the rest of her life with him. So it seems only fitting that Clare was the right place for them to say I do and revisit all the spots that mean so much to them. Not even the crazy stormy weather on their wedding day could stop Hannah and John from enjoying the views of the waves crashing on the beach. Hannah promptly donned her flip flops – who needs fancy heels when you’ve got all this natural beauty around you!

      Armada Hotel Wedding Reception

Their Armada Hotel wedding reception was the wrap up to a beautiful day. With Christmas lights twinkling in the background and the waves crashing against the cliffs it felt both cosy and wild. And Hannah’s friend beautiful singing at the ceremony kept ringing in everyone’s ears.

“Make my wish come true… All I want for Christmas is you!”
