Engagement photos in Ireland is a fantastic way to celebrate this milestone in your lives and to get a bit more comfortable in front of the camera. My wedding couples love to organize a pre-wedding photoshoot. Lots of people worry about what it’s going to feel like being in front of the camera on their wedding day. An engagement session is a great way to relax, see what it’s like to work with me (it’s really fun, I promise!) and spend some intimate quality time together. At the end you’ll have stunning engagement photos to show your friends, use on your wedding invitations or for your signing book at the drinks reception.

There are so many options for the best location to do your engagement photos – your favourite spots in the city, your local park, a beautiful beach. Or you can make a day of it and travel out of the city for some stunning views of Howth cliffs or Wicklow Mountains.

County Wicklow is often called the garden of Ireland, and for a good reason! A national park just on the outskirts of Dublin, it is home to some of the most amazing landscapes and views in all of Ireland. There are lakes and valleys, ancient Celtic sites and mountain trails, beautiful beaches and lush gardens.

Since moving to Wicklow myself I’ve really enjoyed taking every opportunity to explore what this county has to offer. Some of my favourite spots, in no particular order:

• Glendalough – old Celtic monastic site with an ancient round tower and a 13th century church
• the Upper Lake – a mirror-lake lake nestled in the valley of Glendalough
• Lough Tay – there is an amazing view over this striking lake belonging to the Guinness family
• Brittas Bay – a beautiful strand of rock and sand
• Kilmacurragh National Botanical Gardens
