2020 wedding couples are certainly amazing at one thing – adapting to the circumstances. Nicola and Stephen planned a big church wedding in the middle of summer with 200 guests. Instead, they tied the knot just before Christmas, with a beautiful civil ceremony and their closest 20 family & friends surrounding them. One thing remained unchanged – just like they planned, they had the most amazing day.

Instead of worrying about what they couldn’t organize, they focused on making the day absolutely unforgettable. From the stunning flowers to a personalized ceremony complete with their own readings and a ritual of planting blueberry bushes, their wedding was spectacular. Even though they couldn’t have a church wedding, Nicola and Stephen included some beautiful and meaningful religious readings. They also had their four parents bless the rings – something that felt very traditional but also very personal.

Of course, a lot of people who would have loved to share their celebration couldn’t be there. So Stephen’s brother organized a brilliant slideshow of video messages from family & friends. Stuck at home, the well-wishers went to every length to make their video as unique and funny as possible!

The day absolutely flew by. We round up the evening with a gorgeous sparkler send-off in Barberstown’s magical patio. And best of all, with such an intimate crowd there were enough sparklers for everyone!
