You can pick your favourite street, get some cool architecture shots or even have a pint of Guinness in your wedding dress! Dublin is perfect for urban chic wedding photo style, but what about romantic nature spots? Thankfully, there is that option too. St Stephen’s Green comes to mind, but the park is right in the heart of Dublin and is always crowded, especially on weekend afternoons. With their ceremony and reception at the nearby Angler’s Rest, Phoenix Park was a no-brainer for wedding portraits. It was an unusually warm and sunny November’s day. Dani and John were enjoying chatting with their guests so much we almost missed the end of the daylight! Instead, we got to enjoy the most amazing sunset light and even the deer came out to say hello.
Phoenix Park wedding photos are wonderful if you want to enjoy a bit of privacy and get the feeling of being away from the city. There are plenty of great spots among the trees, around the brook and in the grassy fields. I love trying to get some deer in the photos. You might not be able to come close (although you might get lucky)! Dani loved getting the animals in her wedding photos. Believe it or not, this was her first time sighting deer in Phoenix Park!
After the portraits and enjoying the last rays of sun, we headed straight back to Angler’s Rest and its farm fire. The party went on long into the night. I’m just waiting for another gorgeous sunset like this. They are truly an Irish miracle!
