Rebecca and Brian: April Showers at Tankardstown + The Cutest Dog

Rebecca and Brian’s spring wedding at Tankardstown House was a beautiful celebration of early spring, with crisp air, daffodils in bloom and that fresh seasonal light that makes the gardens so special. True to form, the weather kept us on our toes — a few showers and even a surprise hailstorm had everyone briefly running for cover — but as the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers, and the grounds never looked better.

With a bit of flexibility and good timing, we slipped outside during the dry spells and captured everything we needed outdoors. You’d never guess from the photos that the weather was changeable at all — Tankardstown offers so many sheltered spots and stunning backdrops that spring weddings here always photograph beautifully.

Adding an extra layer of joy to the day was Rebecca and Brian’s Bernese Mountain Dog, Zeus, who completely stole the show. He was the very best boy from start to finish, happily soaking up the attention and celebrating right alongside them — a perfect reminder that pets really do make a wedding day even more special.
