Susan and Sean: When the Wind Takes You Away

Susan and Sean’s wedding at Cloughjordan House was the perfect example of how love (and a great venue) can outshine even the stormiest of spring days. As doctors working in different parts of Ireland, they were looking forward to more than just celebrating with their guests—they were also excited to simply spend time together, away from the chaos of their busy schedules.

It might look like an idyllic sunny April day in the photos but with the wind we felt like Dorothy from Kansas! Despite the wild weather, the day was filled with warmth and joy. The wind may have fought us at every turn, but it also made for some incredible, windswept portraits that captured the energy of the day. Cloughjordan’s idyllic setting provided the perfect backdrop, and the intimate indoor spaces kept everyone cozy.

For Susan and Sean, the most important thing was that everyone had a great time – and Cloughjordan House delivered. The atmosphere was relaxed, the food was absolutely incredible (seriously, some of the best I’ve ever had at a wedding!), and as the evening set in, everyone felt warm and cosy in the beautiful pavilion. It was a day full of love, laughter, and a little bit of wind, and I was so honored to capture it all!
