I’ll probably remember Caitleen and Ger’s big day at Rathsallagh House not just as a fun and warm wedding it was but also as one of the most relaxing and stress-free days. I probably should have known that would be the case when Caitleen replied to my timeline questionnaire within 30 minutes of me sending it! Their AMAZING skills at organizing and meticulous attention to detail meant that their day went completely flawlessly, with no set backs, no delays and LOTS of time to relax and enjoy the day. Read on to learn from the best!

Caitleen and Ger both made their way to Rathsallagh House in the morning to get ready at the venue. Even though they were having a church service, they didn’t mind pushing traditions aside just a little and do a first look before their ceremony. We planned extra time for the photos but everything went so smoothly that by 1pm, an hour before the ceremony, Caitleen was back chilling with her girls and having soup!

By the time we got back to the venue after a beautiful service performed by a close friend of Ger’s family the lawn at the Walled Garden was set up with drinks, canapes, garden games and a jazz band. What a lovely way to spend the afternoon mingling with all your favourite people!

After dinner call it’s my favourite time to get some relaxing portraits. While their guests were busy finding their seats and studying the menu, we took a lovely stroll around Rathsallagh lawns enjoying the evening light and bit of peace and quiet. Because during dinner the atmosphere went up a notch with the magic from the mentalist Shane Black who blew away absolutely everyone.

We finished off the evening with a romantic first dance on a warm September evening under the fairy lights of the most beautiful tree. And it was also, quite literally, magic.
