Clonabreany House Wedding: Golden Autumn

There’s a special kind of magic that comes with an autumn wedding, especially when Ireland gifts us the precious sunshine. Soft golden light, striking colours in the trees, and a warm atmosphere. Sarah and Yuthie’s November wedding at Clonabreany House was exactly that: intimate, elegant, and rich with seasonal beauty.
Set in the heart of the Meath countryside, Clonabreany House provided the perfect backdrop for their day — a mix of warm interiors, sweeping grounds, and unforgettable light throughout the estate.

Accommodation on Site
One of its unique strengths is the on-site accommodation in the charming Clonabreany Courtyard – a collection of beautifully restored Georgian houses that can sleep up to ~90–100 guests – along with a luxury honeymoon suite in the main house. This means your closest family and friends can stay steps from the celebration, turning a wedding day into a whole weekend event.

- The Orchard Room: A beautifully light, country room with views over the meadows, perfect for indoor civil ceremonies and blessings. It seats up to 220 guests.
- Tunnel Wood: For a ceremony immersed in nature, this beautiful woodland area offers a fairytale-like setting.
If you prefer a church service first, there are lovely local churches nearby – including options in Kilskyre, Ballinlough, Kells, and Oldcastle – all within a short drive.
Photo Locations & Autumn Light
One of the real joys of shooting a Clonabreany House wedding is the variety of photographic backdrops right on site:
- The Georgian House & Courtyard: Elegant architecture, ivy-lined walls, and long lines that catch late autumn light beautifully.
- Tunnel Wood & Grounds: The trees and woodland paths are magical in November, with amber, red and gold leaves creating a warm palette for portraits.
- Grand Marquee & Reception Rooms: Spacious interiors that hold soft natural light — perfect for candid moments and speeches.
In early November, the golden hour light was simply stunning – warm, gentle, and ideal for outdoor portraits without feeling harsh or cold. This kind of soft light makes a big difference in couple portraits and group shots alike.
Sarah & Yuthie — A Wedding to Remember
Sarah and Yuthie’s day was absolutely filled with warmth and laughter, and the incredible November sunshine just made it more magical. They brought their unique family traditions into the day, including the young and the old alike. Sarah’s auntie was her maid of honour and her wonderful granny a guest of honour! It was wonderful to capture the connections between the generations, from great-grandmother to Sarah’s baby nephew.
