Coming home from abroad is always really special, but when it’s for your own wedding it’s something extra! Lorna and Paul love their lives in Singapore but there was no question of where to get married – it was always Ireland. High-school sweethearts, they’ve had an incredible journey together, and it was a privilege to capture their love and witness how much everyone around adores them!
Lorna and Paul got ready in their respective homes in Dublin. I’d only photographed Paul’s sister’s wedding the year before, so it was great to be back 🙂 They chose the iconic Shelbourne Hotel for their wedding and got to have the ceremony in the historic Constitution Suite.
I secretly suspect that one of the reasons for choosing the Shelbourne was its proximity to O’Donohue’s pub 🙂 A firm favourite in Paul’s family, pints and toasties in the courtyard were definitely one of the highlights of the day! There was lots of craic and some impromptu speeches before everyone headed back to the hotel for an evening of gorgeous food and dancing.
