You know one of those days when all the stars align and magic happens? Naomi and Paddy’s Boyne Hill House wedding in December was definitely one of those days!

The magic started happening even before I got to the venue. The previous week had been a pretty frosty one but wonderfully clear and sunny, and as soon as I got onto the country roads I could see the winter magic! Trust me, you don’t get views like these in Ireland often. Clear blue skies, the bare trees covered with white frost and every blade of grass encrusted in tiny shards of ice sparkling in the sun… It was a scene out of a Christmas movie, and it only got better once I arrived to Boyne Hill House!

Naomi and Paddy probably didn’t squeal as much as I did at the sight of the frost but they readily agreed to photos outside – not that they had much of a choice when they saw my enthusiasm! They also planned it perfectly. Getting ready on site meant we had lots of time to get ready without a rush. We did an early first look to make the most of the daylight, and then all the family photos by the stunning Christmas tree in the main house, still empty of the guests before the ceremony. I was absolutely delighted to have all the photos done so early – we didn’t need to chase the light, and Naomi and Paddy could spend the whole drinks reception chatting to their guests!

I won’t keep you here too long – just scroll down to see Naomi and Paddy’s incredible winter wonderland story! The best part of it? The party! They are both keen skiers, so they ordered a special “ski shot” and literally got to have a drink out of a ski on a snowy day!
