It’s this time of year again! I obviously mean all the mince pies, hot chocolate and extra calories 😀 Not at all the photo recap of the year!

It’s always amazing to look back at the year just gone, and I have to say it’s been a brilliant 2019. I almost don’t want it to go! We started with a magical long holiday in Indonesia which really charged me up with inspiration for the year ahead. What followed was a brilliant wedding season, my busiest yet, and I can’t wait to see what next year will bring.

I got to meet incredible couples, hear beautiful stories and capture the magic of love in some amazing venues around Ireland. 2019 brought me to witness gorgeous sunsets in Bellingham Castle and Rathsallagh House; stunning gardens of Lisnavagh House and Tinakilly House; enjoy the magical autumn at the Millhouse Slane and Cliff at Lyons. I also got to return to my favourite Angler’s Rest and Martinstown House and capture some amazing stories there. Can’t wait to be back there again in 2020!

This year also marked my first surprise proposal in Howth, a place that holds a lot of meaning to me as well. Another first was an incredible vow renewal my husband Ciaran and I created together for a wonderful American couple. We got to travel around beautiful Clare, show them amazing Irish beauty, capture (another!) magical sunset and some tears that made our hearts sing. I always feel really privileged to get to share my couples’ stories, and it’s even more special when you help create them!

On a personal level, 2019 has brought a lot of happy memories and travels. We stayed on an incredible farm with a hot tub in Cork, watched dolphins in Clare, finally made it to the Giant’s Gauseway, played escape rooms and drank the best hot chocolate in Wroclaw, Poland, and basked in the glorious December sun while admiring the architecture of Barcelona. But our biggest adventure yet – we finally bought our first home 🙂 By a complete stroke of luck we found our dream house in Bray. It took all of 48 hours between deciding to look for places there and paying a deposit on the first place we saw! 3 months later, we’re still in love with the house and Wicklow in general. Kilruddery is now our regular walking spot, and buying free-range farm eggs has become a lot easier!

So here we go, a little round-up of some of the amazing moments of 2019. I love how emotional it’s been!
